Kingfisher was established in 1991 as a Recruitment Consultancy specialising in the placement of IT and Tech personnel on either a Fixed Term or Permanent basis. Today, whilst IT/Tech recruitment continues to be our primary specialism, we have successfully developed into other industry sectors.
All recruitment assignments undertaken start with a thorough understanding of the business needs. We maintain a “Business Partnership” strategy with our key customers allowing us to work with them delivering flexible, pro-active solutions tailored to their individual resourcing needs.

Having spent six years identifying and placing IT staff to meet a variety of needs across USA and around the UK, I decided to start Kingfisher in 1991.
The aim was to add a personal touch while helping businesses to exceed, not just meet their requirements in an ever-changing industry. Some 30 years later, we are still providing advice and guidance as well as a full range of recruitment services.
Professionalism has been the cornerstone of our success with our commitment to ethical practices. Our specialties include IT recruitment services, permanent placement and fixed term assignments, with a wide range of associated services such as psychometric assessments, technical skill testing, recruitment advertising and recruitment campaign management.
Michelle Oliver
After first working with Dave in the late 1980’s, we quickly formed a professional bond that has lasted many years. We joined forces again at Kingfisher, working in harmony to deliver what our clients up and down the country need, and more. Our backgrounds are similar but so is our ethos. One of the biggest factors in our success has been a mutual passion for a consultative approach, to manage accounts and offer a complete service for fixed term and permanent needs. We have always shared a determination that Kingfisher should be far more than an agency.
